Welcome to Speech Therapy Strategies!
My journey in making speech therapy materials began when I struggled to find engaging, age-appropriate materials for my older students. I didn’t want my students to feel embarrassed about working on basic communication skills by using resources with cutesy fonts or little kid clipart. Many of my students didn’t want to participate in therapy or felt defeated after years of stalled speech progress. I’ve made it my mission to provide high-quality, fun resources for SLPs working with middle and high school students and get students excited about communication again!
Meet the Founder
Hi! I’m Rachel, a licensed speech-language pathologist and creator of Speech Therapy Strategies. Over the years, I have worked in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and schools. I found my passion working with older students in a school setting, and I am always looking for more ways to get students this age to engage in the therapy process.
My interests include developmental language disorders, articulation disorders, and stuttering.
